Rise Baking Company Transportation Coordinator in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Job Purpose Provide assistance with all steps of delivery and transportation processes, serving as a liaison with key stakeholders.

Essential Functions

• Preset delivery appointments using customer portals to ensure timely and efficient delivery schedules

• Maintain accurate records and data in TMS and SAP systems

• Process freight invoices, ensuring accurate and timely payments

• Research freight deliveries and report exceptions using accurate reason codes

• Process freight claims and provide follow-up including managing carrier disposition and ensuring resolution

• Review and address customer complaints related to transportation, providing timely resolution and feedback

• Create and manage ad hoc reports, delivering actionable data-driven insights that support informed decision making

• Collaborate with supply chain teams to troubleshoot and resolve customer service issues related to transportation and scheduling

• Serve as backup for the Transportation Analyst • Comply with all food safety requirements, training, policies, and procedures

• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Competencies)

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred

• 2+ years of logistics/supply chain support experience with a strong emphasis on freight coordination for both outbound and inbound logistics

• Knowledge of business office operations and supply chain operations/processes

• Logistics and transportation knowledge

• SAP knowledge

• Proficient in Microsoft Office

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to proactively address issues

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to exchange accurate information with team, management, and customers

• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a professional manner

• Excellent planning, time management, and organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize

• Ability to complete short- and long-term projects
