We have an opportunity for a Technical Sales Manager to join our industrial water filtration global sales team. You will manage a geographic region, while also focusing on growth with new and existing end-users and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), selling Pentair X-Flow technology. Pentair's X-Flow technology is a global leader and pioneer in membrane technology that allows our customers to transform wastewater into valuable resources, reclaiming up to 70% of water that would have been discarded. for You will develop strong relationships with new and existing accounts and support the installed base at the customer level. * This posting is for two positions. Candidates can be located anywhere in the U.S. within driving distance of a major airport. * You will: Develop and grow the X-flow business with existing OEMs and distributors in assigned territory as well as identify and develop new OEMs as potential membrane users. Identify and develop project opportunities for Pentair membrane and systems solutions with end-users, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) firms, and Automation & Engineering (A&E) companies for water and wastewater related Municipal and Industrial projects. Develop and maintain strong relationships built on mutual trust, respect, and cooperation with direct customers, consultants, engineers, channel partners, strategic accounts, and internal Pentair teams. Review tender/Request for Quote (RFQ) documents includingterms and conditions of each tender/bidand summarize information for the proposal team. Develop tools for promoting the organization's capabilities to targeted markets in conjunction with the sales and marketing communications teams. Attend trade shows and assist in the selection and preparation of samples and promotional materials. Key Qualifications: Have earned a bachelor's (B.A. or B.S.) degree. Have 5+ years of related experience with commercial exposure to water and wastewater process treatment applications. This will include experience working with end-users, engineering consultants, and/or system integrators, etc. Strong sales aptitude and/or experience, including ability to understand customer needs and requirements, identify solutions, build long-term dynamic relationships, and driven to find new markets, channels, and/or accounts. Strong technical aptitude, including ability to understand and interpret mechanical systems (processing, filtration, etc), process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation drawings (P&IDs), bills of material (BOM), and/or layout drawings preferred. Excellent presentation skills, including ability to present technical product information and/or training to end-users and channel partners. Travel: Travel and customer interfacing will be approximately 60% (includes overnight travel). International travel may be required. For California and New York City residents, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $90500 - $ 168100 / year. For all other candidates, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $82300 - $152800 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors i determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, and other relevant business or organizational needs. Actual compensation may be otherwise adjusted if the position if filled outside of the intended geographic location.
