ManpowerGroup Senior Project Manager in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Our client in the insurance industry is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join their team. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be part of the workspace technology delivery for a laptop/hardware rollout initiative. The ideal candidate will have experience in workplace technology such as SharePoint, Teams, Laptop/Hardware Rollouts, and Office 365. A minimum of 5 years of IT delivery management is required.

Job Title: Senior Project Manager

Location: Minneapolis rea, MN

Pay Range: $55-65/hour depending on experience (W2 ONLY)

Duration: 2 years (potential full-time conversion)

What’s the Job?

  • Create and maintain plan in MS Project Server; includes budget & forecasting, accruals, invoice mapping, and ensuring resources have appropriate time tracking buckets setup to bill time. Project Server is our core resource planning and financial management tool for both projects and agile teams.

  • Perform plan & forecast analysis to identify critical path and resource issues

  • Partner with the team in creating a communication plan that includes both internal and external project communication, meetings, and documentation/reporting requirements

  • Partner with functional resource managers to ensure work efforts are effectively resourced

  • Follow release management process to schedule and manage code releases

  • Monitor progress of deliverables, quality, proactively identifying risks, issues and escalation as needed with appropriate leadership

  • Interface with stakeholders to manage expectations

  • Manage project documentation following standards (i.e. Team Working Agreement, Agile Release Report, Status Reports, meeting minutes, risks, issues, decisions)

What’s Needed?

  • Broad delivery management knowledge and experience spanning traditional project management methodologies in addition to agile practices

  • Demonstrated communication and influencing skills

  • Knowledge and understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle)

  • Highly skilled in the use of Microsoft Project Server

  • Experience in formal techniques of risk management

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Experience working closely with business stakeholders and managing expectations

  • Excellent relationship management skills

  • Experience in change management

  • PMP certification preferred

  • Zscaler or network security experience preferred
