Insight Global is seeking a Senior Operations Engineer for a large company in Minneapolis, MN. The position would require commuting to downtown Minneapolis 3 days a week at a minimum. In this role, you will join the Operations team tied to Disaster Recovery. You will evaluate and confirm if certain application meets process requirements. You will interact with other IT team members and be responsible for uplifting processes. The main requirement is having a strong fundamental understanding of storage, firewalls, network and servers to properly address issues and concerns to IT teams. The team works in a linux and windows environment and you will be writing mainly Powershell scripts and some Python for automation.

Skills and Requirements

• 5+ years in an IT engineering role (Storage Engineer, Back Up Engineer, Network Engineer, Systems Engineer, Operations Engineer, etc.)

• Strong foundation knowledge of storage, firewalls, network, infrastructure, servers, etc.

• Strong documentation skills and ability to communicate effectively and hold IT teams accountable.

• Organized and able to uplift processes

• Identifying areas of improvement

• Automation background - scripting ability - Experience with Servicenow for reporting or creating dashboards

• Experience with Ansible

• Experience with Lambda null
