Ameriprise Financial Senior Manager-Business Systems Analyst (R24_0000003360) in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Identify business requirements and process improvements for multiple systems, which include creating projects, process specifications and conducting quality inspections. Facilitate requirement gathering and alignment with business and technology partners, while supporting projects with minimal direction by the leader or project manager. Solve highly complex system and system-related problems, resulting in timely and accurate document reporting and project team communication. Act as primary subject matter expert for the business. Key Responsibilities Gather business information and incorporate into project plans with minimal oversight by the leader or project manager. Provide timely and accurate documents and communication to the project team. Work on highly complex projects to identify business requirements, creating project and process specifications for new and/or enhanced systems. May write code for business-specific platforms or provide other technical support to the business. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the business and technology partners. Ability to provide accurate, timely & responsive services and communication to the business on highly complex problems. Solve a variety of complex system and system-related problems for the business as it relates to business requirements and technology, in addition to helping design or implement systems. Identify and implement process improvements. Drive quantifiable results through facilitating interaction with the business. Act as a subject matter expert for the business. May provide effective people leadership through effective coaching, feedback, and sound performance management practices. Act as champion for the team and intervene on matters that create roadblocks to individual or organizational success. Set department initiatives and aligns and sets individual performance goals. Typically leads a larger team. Required Qualifications Solid analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use statistical analysis and modeling. Ability to identify patterns, potential issues and then translate those into functional and test requirements. Ability to understand technology as it relates to the business and may require product or system certifications. Experience in providing accurate, timely & responsive services on complex problems. Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships within the department and across business functions. Ability to communicate technology related information and clearly detail implementation processes. Ability to effectively manage the test life cycle, ensuring user requirements are met and stakeholders are aligned with solution. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated people leadership experience. Ability to handle changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and work within tight timeframes and deadlines. Ability to influence partners across company as well as within the business.
