Job Description

Fulcrum Consulting, an LRS company is seeking a Senior Business Analyst with our client in Minneapolis, MN. Considering LOCAL candidates only.

Must-have

  • 5+ years of Experience working as a Business Systems Analyst with progressively increasing responsibilities in the areas of requirements management on large and complex projects

  • Proven experience with various project delivery methodologies such as Waterfall, Iterative and/or Agile

  • Experience in requirements planning and prioritization including stakeholder analysis and effort estimation Nice-to-have

  • Professional in Business Analysis Certification (PMI – PBA)

  • Master’s Certificate in Business Analysis

  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (IIBA-CBAP or CCBA)

  • Agile Certification (CSM, CPO)

What will you do?

  • Perform requirements stakeholder analysis to identify impacted or influencing groups and stakeholder requirements responsibilities

  • Develop plans and accurate estimates for completion of requirements, continuously improving the level of detail and accuracy of estimates

  • Manage risks, assumptions and constraints for requirements, and communicate to appropriate parties

  • Define the business analysis approach including tasks and deliverables based on the project and delivery methodology

  • Lead requirements prioritization and leverage techniques to drive out business priorities

  • Facilitate collaborative sessions with large and diverse business stakeholder groups to drive requirements discovery, analysis, and review

  • Apply advanced elicitation techniques to work with different types of stakeholder groups

  • Analyze and document scope of the business solution using enterprise-standard requirements methodology

  • Review, analyze and evaluate user needs to create systems solutions that support business strategies.

  • Create system specifications that drive system development and implementation.

  • Mining data from primary and secondary sources, analyzing and reorganizing data in a format that can be easily read.

  • For projects related to Systems Analysis and Documentation

  • Review, analyze and evaluate user needs to create systems solutions that support business strategies.

  • Define scope and objectives.

  • Understand how systems are configured

  • Document system requirements. Systems Maintenance and Support

  • Create system specifications that drive system development and implementation.

  • Maintaining and upgrading existing systems as required

  • Designing new computer systems and frameworks

  • Troubleshooting technical issues

  • Risk mitigation planning

  • Collaborating with Business Analysts, Project Leads and IT team to resolve issues and ensuring solutions are viable and consistent Data Analysis and Maintenance

  • Designing and maintaining data systems and databases; this includes fixing coding errors and other data-related problems.

  • Mining data from primary and secondary sources, then reorganizing said data in a format that can be easily read by either human or machine.

  • Using statistical tools to interpret data sets, paying particular attention to trends and patterns that could be valuable for diagnostic and predictive analytics efforts.
