Join our Builder Channel as a Senior Area Sales Manager (ASM), responsible for driving sales and fostering relationships within the Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN market. This role focuses on serving all customer segments, including Multi-family, Single Family, and Distributors. You will manage sales activities, identify new business opportunities, and ensure an exceptional customer experience from product delivery to issue resolution. How You'll Create Possibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Sales and Customer Management:

  • Promote and sell appliances to new and existing customers, including builders, developers, and distributors.

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through solution selling, addressing customer needs, and resolving issues effectively.

Strategic Planning and Execution:

  • Execute and achieve sales and margin goals outlined in the operating plan.

  • Identify new business opportunities and develop marketing strategies to grow the territory while mitigating channel conflicts.

  • Analyze market dynamics, competitive landscapes, and sales strategies to identify growth opportunities.

Training and Development:

  • Conduct sales training sessions to improve team and customer performance.

Administrative Excellence:

  • Complete administrative tasks to meet deadlines and ensure smooth operations.

  • Track and report on sales metrics and customer insights.

Prospecting and New Business Development:

  • Cold call prospective accounts, turning leads into purchasing customers.

What You'll Bring to Our Team

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant sales experience or completion of the GE Appliances Commercial Development Program.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent field sales/industry experience.

  • Must reside in Minneapolis/St. Paul or surrounding market.

  • Ability to work from a home office environment.

  • Proven ability to build and strengthen customer relationships.

  • Strong negotiation skills with a results-driven mindset.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, including presentation skills.

  • Ability to interface with all levels of management and peers effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience developing, organizing, and implementing sales plans that align with business objectives.

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with a strong initiative to succeed.

  • Experience in cold calling and converting prospects into customers.

  • 2+ years of business-to-business (B2B) wholesale contractor sales experience.

  • 2+ years of experience in appliance sales.
