Ameriprise Financial Senior Analyst, Due Diligence Alternative Investments in Minneapolis, Minnesota

The Senior Analyst, Due Diligence for Alternative Investments will play a pivotal role within the Product and Platform Solutions department of Wealth Management. This position is responsible for leading the comprehensive investment due diligence process for hedge funds, private credit, private equity, private real estate, and other alternative investment offerings. The Senior Analyst will be engaged in all aspects of investment sourcing and analysis, maintaining oversight of existing platform investments, and preparing detailed reports and presentations for the Investment Committee. Additionally, this role requires close collaboration with various internal groups to ensure a cohesive and strategic approach to investment management. This position and team structure offers the advantage of a generalist approach. Key Responsibilities: * Sourcing and evaluation of new investment opportunities through consistent dialogue with a broad number of alternative asset managers across a variety of asset classes and investment disciplines * In-depth evaluation of alternative investment opportunities involving detailed review of RFI (request for information) responses and offering documents, discussions and onsite interviews with fund management, and industry analysis * Prepare presentations on alternative investments detailing investment managers and strategies to present to internal business partners and investment committees * Engage in regular dialogue with current investment managers to monitor existing alternative investments and make recommendations where appropriate * Serve as a subject matter expert for the firm's alternative investment platform with internal business partners and financial advisors Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience * Minimum of 5 years financial services experience * Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and attention to detail * Ability to work independently * Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills * Active Series 7 or ability to obtain within 120 days Preferred Qualifications: * Experience with alternative investments
