Satellite and In-situ Data Processing (50%) o Process and label satellite hyperspectral imagery and in-situ sensing data. o Develop and generalize data processing tools to streamline workflows and improve efficiency. o Conduct data annotation and preprocessing to prepare datasets for machine learning modeling. 2. Generalizable Knowledge-Guided Machine Learning Framework Development (40%) o Collaborate with staff and students in the lab to develop generalizable knowledge-guided machine learning frameworks. o Focus on ecosystem greenhouse gas modeling by supporting framework structuring, programming, and creating user-friendly interfaces. o Ensure high-quality, reproducible, and scalable machine learning models to support research objectives. 3. Support for Research Activities (10%) o Assist with additional group research activities, including participating in group discussions, meetings, and conferences. o Assist other students in coding and programming tasks. o Contribute to the development of new research projects, perform literature reviews, and support proposal preparation. Qualifications Required Qualifications: BS/BA plus at least 5 years of related experience in data processing and programming using Python or a combination of education and relevant work experience to equal at least 9 years. Demonstrated expertise in handling large datasets and data preprocessing. Proficiency in developing tools for data labeling and annotation. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with deep learning techniques beyond simple regression models. Work experience in programming, data processing, and developing machine learning models. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse research teams and effectively communicate technical concepts.
