Primary duties will involve working with the project's co-principal investigators and coordinating with research team members and school collaborators to identify children with varying profiles of reading strengths and weaknesses for additional data collection (e.g., reading tasks, neuroimaging). After initial planning, primary duties will include stake holder relationship building and participant recruitment, input into the development of assessment materials, contribution to data analysis and writing of technical reports, and possible writing of peer-reviewed articles and conference presentations. This individual will also attend regular meetings for the project team for planning and management, as well as set priorities for the team to ensure task completion. Job Responsibilities Research (50%) Assist in design and planning of research activities, including reviewing literature, instrument design and participant recruitment. Write technical reports and contribute to peer-reviewed journal articles and conference presentations. Project Management (50%) Participate in developing reading tasks and procedures. Work with school partners and families to coordinate identification of students and scheduling of data collection activities. Assist the investigators with data analysis and interpretation of findings. Contribute to progress reports. Participate in project team meetings and events, as requested. Complete other tasks as assigned. Qualifications *All required qualifications must be documented on application materials. Required Qualifications BA/BS in education, educational psychology, special education, psychology, or other related disciplines and eight years of experience or Master's degree in education, educational psychology, special education, psychology, or other related disciplines and six years of experience. Experience in building and maintaining collaborative relationships with both university and non-university partners (e.g., schools and teachers). Experience with both qualitative and quantitative research methods. Experience with managing complex data sets and data analysis software and procedures. Strong organizational and communication skills. Strong professional writing skills, including research reports, peer-reviewed research articles, or other print and electronic publications. Experience in assessment/instructional design. Ability to collaborate effectively with people from a variety of communities, backgrounds, and identities. Preferred Qualifications Ph.D. in educational psychology, education, psychology, special education, or related discipline. Experience in implementing complex data management procedures, including MS Excel functions. Experience in contributing to a multi-disciplinary research team.
