Assist with conduct of the PROVE, COCOA, INTERCEDE, SMART PAD and BEET multi-site clinical trials examining the efficacy of several interventions on outcomes in individuals with peripheral artery disease (75%). 2. Assist the Executive Assistant of the Office of Nursing Research and Scholarship with planning and implementation of the annual SoN Research Day (25%) Specific responsibilities include: Assist with recruitment and screening of appropriate subjects (15%) Perform baseline and outcome assessment according to protocol (30%) Assist with supervised exercise sessions (5%) Complete data entry through RedCAP (10%) Organization of research materials (5%) Assist with communication with IRB (5%) Participate in conference calls with study staff from other sites (5%) Assist with organization, planning and implementation for SoN Research day 20% Provide on-site management of Research Day registration, set-up and break down 5% Other duties as assigned Qualifications Required Qualifications: BA/BS or a combination of related education and work experience to equal four years Preferred Qualifications Prior clinical research experience Experience performing medical history and physical examinations Sufficient expertise to enable adequate screening and evaluation of appropriate study participants, both in person and over the telephone. Ability to perform outcome assessment with research participants. Knowledge of cardiovascular and peripheral vascular pathophysiology and disease processes Work habits should reflect independence, versatility, attention to detail, and commitment to completing work, and providing progress updates to faculty. Reliable transportation. Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and RedCAP programs. Ability to work flexible hours as needed. Prior clinical experience working with patients with cardiovascular and/or peripheral vascular disease Prior research experience including clinical trials research involving direct patient contact, recruitment, telephone interviewing, scheduling study visits, and randomizing participants. Experience managing Institutional Review Board correspondence. Excellent organization skills with attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal and communication sills (written and verbal).
