The Division of Epidemiology and Community Health in the School of Public Health, University of Minnesota, is seeking a 100% time project assistant to manage recruitment efforts of over 1,000 nursing homes (NH) and assisted living facilities (ALF) in Minnesota. This is a temporary 9-month position with a possibility for renewal. Compensation: $22.50 - $25.00/hour, depending on experience Primary responsibilities include: Training coordination (40%) Coordinate with multiple trainers, nursing home (NH) and assisted living facilities (ALF), administrators, and study staff to schedule, plan, and support in-person training events across Minnesota. Make arrangements to match the personal needs of training staff and study team with NH and ALF facility training requirements. Manage scheduling (30%) Remind study staff, trainers, and participating facilities of upcoming events and event details. Manage various scheduling systems for in-person training events and online reminders. Engage via phone and email with administrators and owners of various NH and ALF. Update phone and voicemail scripts as appropriate. Work with facility administrators to tailor study recruitment to their specific needs. Answer administrator and participant questions about the study via phone and email. Manage and engage with a list of facilities who asked to be contacted at a different point in time and/or in a different manner (e.g. email, phone, letter, Zoom meeting). Qualitative data analysis (10%) Analyze qualitative data to ensure that surveys are effective and participants are engaging with survey content and training materials. Conduct training (20%) Attend in-person training sessions and recruitment events across Minnesota. Qualifications All required qualifications must be documented on application materials Required Qualifications: BA/BS or a combination of related education and work experience to equal four years. Experience working with the LGBTQ community. Familiarity with the corporate owner(s) and leadership structure related to long-term care (LTC) facilities in Minnesota. Good telephone skills and comfortable talking to management at assisted living facilities. Ability to work with Qualtrics, Box, Thinkific, Canva, ChromeRiver, Zoom and RedCap Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to travel across Minnesota, a valid driver's license. About the Department Epidemiology and Community Health: The Division of Epidemiology & Community Health focuses on disease and health in various populations.
