2nd Shift Punch Press Operator
PAY: $21/hr to start
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Punch Press Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating various punch presses and support equipment, working primarily with metal stampings and washers. During the training period, you will work on the 1st shift, and upon completion, you will transition to the 2nd shift with a differential pay. This position offers structured raises every three months, leading to competitive pay rates after two years.
Responsibilities
Set-up and operate punch presses and support equipment.
Perform operations such as blanking, bending, punching, and forming based on blueprints and other instructions.
Read and understand blueprints, routing sheets, and work instructions to determine specifications.
Measure completed work and use shop math to verify conformance to specifications.
Maintain production efficiencies of 80% or greater.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
Experience operating punch press machines, including setup experience.
Metal stamping machine operating experience.
Proficiency with drill press, shear, and machine operation.
Ability to understand tolerances such as +/- .005.
Ability to read, understand, and follow all policies, processes, and procedures.
Strong command of the English language, including verbal and written communications.
Proficiency with basic computer skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
