Visualization Project Manager

Job Summary of Roles and Responsibilities:

POWER Engineers, member of WSP's Visual Studios is seeking a Project Manager to join our progressive and successful team. We are looking to expand our ability to service our amazing clients and find another team member to build and expand partnerships with passionate clients in the Energy industry for our Northeast, Midwest, Southern, and/or Southeast service areas. (Office location to be determined during interview process). This position will allow for travel to grow teams with our Boise Production team as well as building key clients for the business unit. Having a deeper understanding of emerging technology in visualization is key to providing our partners with successful solutions. Disclaimer : The candidate selected for this position may work remotely full-time at a location other than a POWER-designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a POWER office for periodic meetings.

  • Management

  • Excited to develop and maintain great working relationships with POWER staff, POWER management, and especially our clients

  • Coordinates with the production team effectively to ensure appropriate resources are supported and guided to success while meeting our client’s project schedules

  • Works hard to ensure a successful project through great planning, while anticipating potential risks and challenges. Continuously work with our clients and project teams to find and implement the right solutions

  • It is important to be a team player who is willing to follow standard POWER processes and utilize specific tools and workflows to build a great team culture

  • Leading multiple projects while coordinating competing deadlines and resources

  • Great coordination of our visualization projects through resource management, Effective scheduling, creating clear scopes, and well throughout budgets

  • Everything we do relies on great communication, empathy, and diligence in managing status reporting, timely invoicing, accounts receivable oversight, and watching unbilled costs on our projects

Client Marketing & Sales

  • Always seeking to identify and qualify new clients to build partnerships

  • Working with the Visualization team to effectively market to new and established clients successfully

  • Interface with other Production Business Units across the company to identify their markets and support as one team

  • Identify potential projects and support or lead the pursuit of winning the work

  • Support and execute the development of regional visualization sales goals set by Visualization Leadership

  • Develop partnerships from the initial meeting through the long-term support of each of our clients.

  • Able to understand our clients’ issues, goals, budgets, etc., and collaborate with the team to develop cutting-edge solutions to support their needs. Consistently focused on “Mutual Success”

  • Work with other divisions in coordinated marketing solutions for our POWER/WSP clients based on a focus on bringing value to everything we do

  • Remain excited to build your industry network, attend select conferences, and present POWER Visualization as an industry SME leader

New Initiatives and Service Areas

  • Assist and champion in achieving Powers Strategic Goals identified in the annual visualization business plan

  • Help identify new initiatives through innovation and use of emerging technologies

  • Assist in the execution of the annual marketing/sales plan

Industry Trends

  • Help with identifying information that should be collected and disseminated within the company to assist in our business development for creating mutual, cross-divisional sales goals

  • Help identify industry trends and information that is important to POWER/ WSP’s decision-making

Required Education/Experience

  • Successful candidate must have 8+ years of visualization, visual analysis, power delivery, or energy experience with a deep understanding of the visualization industry.

  • Some successful Project Management and Leadership Experience

  • Some Sales and Marketing experience

Desired Education/Experience

  • Existing experience in the visualization, environmental, power delivery, renewables, generation, oil/gas, and/or internal strategic industries.

  • An existing network of clients and established relationships

  • Experience presenting at Visualization & Energy specific conferences.

  • Lead the preparation and execution of major proposals.

Base Salary Range: $90,000.00- $120,000.00 per year

The range for this position is being displayed in compliance with all state and local regulations. Salaries are set based on a number of factors to include an individual's job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. This means that no two candidates are alike. The range provided above does not include additional compensation such as bonus, health benefits, vacation, 401(k) match, etc.
