The Office of Information Technology at the University of Minnesota is seeking an experienced Product Owner who will provide leadership of our business critical UMN Portal, Student Portal, Human Resources Systems, and Finance Systems. As a Product Owner they will own the infrastructure strategy, define product features, drive the system architecture, and spearhead the best practices that enable a quality product. Job Responsibilities: Collaborate closely with the Product Manager and stakeholders to drive the vision and roadmap for the product life cycle through an understanding of the present and future needs. Prepare and participate in Scaled Agile (SAFe) Program Increment Planning. Leverage customer insights for product vision, strategy, roadmap, and priorities. Act as the voice of the customer. Define stories and prioritize the team backlog to streamline the execution of committed objectives. Evaluate progress towards goals in each iteration. Work closely with the team to address daily prioritization needs, provide real-time feedback, and answer questions on an ongoing basis. Lead solution analysis and design meetings for system enhancements and/or critical production issues. Lead, plan, and execute moderate to complex technical projects. Qualifications Please document qualifications on resume Required Qualifications: BA/BS plus at least four years of experience, or master's degree plus at least two years of experience. Two years of experience as a Lead or Product Owner supporting Software or Infrastructure Teams. Demonstrated understanding of the modern technology stack. Demonstrated analytical skills and creative problem-solving skills with ability to translate data into digestible and actionable insights. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of DevOps with an understanding of how modern software is built, packaged, and deployed. Experience working in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Holds Scrum Master certification.
