Medtronic Principal Financial Analyst in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Position Description:

Principal Financial Analyst for Medtronic, Inc. located in Minneapolis, MN. Serve as a liaison between Enterprise Accounts (EA) and the Finance group. Organize complex data to foster cross-functional decision making in order to achieve our financial commitments. Responsible for financial modeling, including creating financial models for business initiatives financial planning, forecasting, and analysis. Conduct financial audit of internal financial reports across multiple financial sources to ensure data integrity. Leverage various financial tools including SAP, Boxi, Tableau, Power BI, and Global Sales Reporting (GSR). Follow GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards). Responsible for financial modeling for business initiative including channel transition to direct sales. Create, maintain and enhance EA Financial tools, reporting, and analysis packages leveraging Microsoft Excel including advanced formulas, charts and graphs and pivot tables, and PowerPoint. Provide financial analytics on income and cash flow projections in support of healthcare corporations. Provide financial models including NPV (net present value), IRR (internal rate of return) and ROI (return on investment) for business initiatives. *Position works a hybrid model and will be onsite in Minneapolis, MN location – 2 to 3 days per week.

Basic Qualifications:

Require a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or closely related field and seven (7) years of experience as a financial analyst or related occupation; or a Masters’ degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or closely related field and five (5) years of experience as a financial analyst or related occupation. Must possess a minimum of five (5) years of experience with each of the following: Financial modeling for new and existing business initiatives financial planning, forecasting, and analysis; Validating and auditing internal financial reports across multiple financial sources to ensure data integrity; SAP, Boxi, Tableau, Power BI, and GSR; GAAP and IFRS; Creating, maintaining and enhancing EA Financial tools, reporting, and analysis packages leveraging Microsoft Excel including advanced formulas, charts and graphs, and pivot tables, and PowerPoint; Financial analytics on income and cash flow projections in support of healthcare corporations; and NPV, IRR, and ROI. *Position works a hybrid model and will be onsite in Minneapolis, MN location – 2 to 3 days per week.

Salary: $116,000 to $154,800 per year
