Children's Minnesota is expanding and has an opportunity for a fellowship trained Pediatric Otolaryngologist to become the 10th full-time surgeon in our nationally recognized, experienced, and talented pediatric otolaryngology team. Department Overview Our team provides the full range of ENT and facial plastic reconstructive surgery services, including complex head and neck procedures, endoscopic and open airway surgery, complex ear disease and cochlear implantation, and cleft and craniofacial surgery. We are supported by advanced imaging including interventional radiology, expert pediatric audiology and a team of experienced Advanced Practice Providers. Our team serves key roles in many multidisciplinary teams such as thyroid, fetal, aerodigestive, cleft and craniofacial, and 22q11 deletion clinics, and is very active in the neonatal, pediatric and cardiovascular ICUs. Position Summary o Walk into a busy practice with a large referral base o Provide comprehensive clinical care primarily serving the Twin Cities west metro market, including Minneapolis. o Teach University of Minnesota Medical Students/Residents/Fellows, including a pediatric otolaryngology fellow. If interested, opportunities to participate in clinical research with the support of a dedicated ENT Research Coordinator. o Participate in weekly Educational conferences, multidisciplinary team meetings, inpatient rounds, and consultations, in addition to a busy clinical and surgical practice. o Academic Appointment at the University of Minnesota commensurate with experience o Call (pediatric only) will be shared in a 1:10+ weekday/weekend rotation. Qualifications o M.D., D.O. with a current Minnesota Medical License or the ability to obtain one o BC/BE in Otolaryngology and completed a pediatric otolaryngology fellowship o Proficiency in pediatric otolaryngology tertiary care We offer a competitive compensation package, relocation allowance, and signing bonus. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: * Clinical competency and expertise in caring for hospitalized children. * Strong understanding of examination methodologies and diagnostics. * Knowledge of common medication, side effects, and contraindications. * In-depth knowledge of legal medical guidelines and medicine best practices. * Excellent oral and written communication skills. * Respect for patient confidentiality. * Compassionate and approachable. * Responsible and trustworthy.
