The PEAK Initiative is currently at the beginning of Phase 2 of a multi-year implementation across colleges, campuses, and units within the University system in support of a service model transformation for critical Finance, Human Resources, Marketing and Communications and Information Technology services. The PEAK Project Office operates as a team with functional stakeholders in Finance, Human Resources, Marketing and Communications and Information Technology. This position will serve as the main liaison between the PEAK Program Director and project teams and is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end progress of multiple work streams and projects. We are seeking a candidate with strong program management skills and the ability to influence without direct authority, foster collaboration among cross-functional teams, and lead through change. As the PEAK Project Office continues to shift from leveraging external consultants to internal resources, the program manager will play a key role in partnering with the project team and consultants to proactively support knowledge transfer and transitions along the way. This position will work under general supervision but has the discretion to make daily operational decisions. The program manager is responsible for managing the overall program plan and proactively planning for and anticipating the work ahead. This role will utilize experience in project and program management to provide leadership support to project teams. Directs the work of other project team members as assigned. On a daily basis, this includes driving project tasks to completion, tracking project milestones and progress, and coordinating the resolution of program issues, risks, and decisions with the PEAK Project Office. This role will continually review and verify that project deliverables meet requirements and support PEAK Initiative goals. Reviews progress, evaluates outcomes, and recommends actions to assure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met. Gathers required data from end-users to evaluate objectives, goals, and scope. This position will also support project governance needs, including updating progress metrics and content for the PEAK Program Director, project sponsors, project leads, and University leadership. Responsible for synthesizing and reporting concise program status updates. We are seeking a candidate with a continuous improvement mindset as this role will capture lessons learned throughout the program lifecycle and identify future enhancements. Recommends and implements best practices and process improvement opportunities throughout the implementation. Identifies potential solutions and approaches to complex issues that require integrative solutions. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 60% Program Management and Program Reporting Develops and deploys program management standards, tools, and templates across the PEAK initiative Partners with project managers and leaders within the business areas to understand and support project needs required to develop and deliver solutions Partners with project managers and leaders within the business areas to ensure all project deliverables meet requirements and follow initiative standards Maintains program reporting tools at the Senior Leadership, PEAK initiative, functional area, and project levels while ensuring project managers report up to date information in the program management tools Acts as an ambassador for the PEAK Initiative and supports program governance needs 30% Project Management Support Provides leadership and consultation to project managers to ensure alignment and achievement of PEAK initiative plans and objectives Provides direction to project managers when necessary 10% Planning and Continuous Improvement Planning for future phases of implementation. Resource planning support Partner with the project team to identify opportunities for continuous improvement The salary range is $101,000 - $150,000 annually and is commensurate with experience. The PEAK Project Team operates as a hybrid team. There is flexibility for what hybrid looks like, however there will be occasional on-site participation based on the job requirements. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS BA/BS degree plus at least six years of experience.
