Robert Half is looking for a Payroll Specialist to join a dynamic and rapidly growing team! In this key role, you will support the Payroll department through a variety of essential tasks, including accurate data entry, timecard reconciliation, paycheck distribution, and providing payroll-related statements to various internal departments. Responsibilities

• Processing payroll on a bi-weekly or monthly basis.

• Processing changes to payroll, such as salary adjustments, special payments, tax deductions, and employee hiring or terminations.

• Ensure systems are set-up and updated to reflect current employee base, including wages, benefits, sick, and vacation time in line with contracts.

• Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies and irregularities.

• Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.

• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines.

• Liaise with other departments and external partners as required.

• Provide support and training to staff when required.

  Requirements

Skills/Experience

• 3+ years of hands on payroll experience

• Strong Microsoft Office skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written and listening)

• Great attention to detail

• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills

• ADP and/or PeopleSoft experience preferred

• Ability to easily learn new systems
