Job Title: Mechanical Designer

Job Description

As a Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for producing drawings of parts, assemblies, sub-assemblies, and weldments. You will prepare bills of materials, routes, and other documentation for custom jobs within the company ERP system. Your role includes generating 3D CAD models and detailed drawings of new and existing designs, collaborating with manufacturing engineering and technicians to optimize designs. You will work closely with all departments in the plant to ensure that drawings convey accurate information and are error-free. Additionally, you will transform initial rough product designs from customers into working documents using CAD, create approval drawings for customer review, maintain CAD data and corresponding documents in the data management system, process engineering change requests updating all applicable documents to current company standards, adhere to and apply current industry drafting standards for detailed drawings, and analyze documentation to identify and correct missing information. You will also use and apply basic mechanical fits/tolerances/GD&T principles and stack-ups to new and existing products.
