Position Summary
The Product Portfolio Manager will manage the entire lifecycle of products within residential segments, ensuring alignment with financial (P&L) and DSM/Energy Efficiency objectives. This includes managing the program's marketing mix, communications, training, and support requirements, driving the effectiveness of program delivery, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The role specifically includes responsibility for managing Home Energy Squad and Home Energy Audit programs.
Position level will be selected to align with level of experience and applicability of demonstrated proficiency and results.
Essential Responsibilities:
Program Delivery: Lead the execution and delivery of the program to meet market and customer needs. Collaborate with the strategy team to align program initiatives with corporate goals, ensuring successful implementation and continuous improvement of program offerings.
Marketing : Oversee all aspects of the program's marketing strategy, including pricing, sales channels, launch activities, customer acquisition and retention, and lifecycle management. Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications teams to create and execute comprehensive marketing plans that drive customer engagement and program success.
Operational Management : Handle daily program operations to meet performance goals, providing guidance and direction to the team.
Budget and Forecasting : Develop and manage DSM/Energy Efficiency budgets, sales forecasts, and profitability goals. Monitor program progress against financial targets (P&L).
Regulatory Compliance : Ensure all programs are implemented in compliance with state-specific regulatory policies and requirements.
Product Development : Serve as a subject matter expert, providing insights and guidance to drive product improvements and changes. Collaborate with the Product Development team to ensure products meet customer needs and program goals.
Team Development : Train and mentor marketing assistants and associate product managers, providing guidance and support to help develop their skills and contribute to portfolio success.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Home Energy Audits & Energy Efficiency : Experience managing or overseeing home energy audits, including energy-saving measures like LED installations, weatherization, and blower door/infrared testing.
Budget & Energy Savings Forecasting : Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, forecast costs and energy savings, and ensure efficient resource utilization.
Vendor & Project Management : Strong skills in managing third-party vendor and contractor relationships, ensuring service quality and adherence to program standards.
Technical Proficiency : Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting. Experience using Salesforce for CRM and program management.
Customer-Oriented Mindset : A strong focus on customer satisfaction and the ability to manage vendors who interact with customers directly, ensuring quality service and meeting customer expectations.
Minimum Requirements for PPM
College degree required. MBA preferred.
Four years of experience in marketing, product management or product development is required.
Team and peer leadership with excellent communications skills and proven results.
For DSM/Energy Efficiency portfolio management, two years experience with regulatory requirements and conservation programs is mandatory.
Minimum Requirements for Sr PPM
College degree required, or equivalent years of education and experience. MBA preferred.
Five years of experience in marketing, product management or product development is required.
Team and peer leadership with excellent communications skills and proven results.
For DSM/Energy Efficiency portfolio management, two years experience with regulatory requirements and conservation programs is mandatory.

Non-Bargaining
The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $81,000.00 to $130,567.00 per year
