Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Events Planner in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role involves planning and executing internal and external events, coordinating with various teams and vendors, and managing event budgets.

Responsibilities:

• Strategize and coordinate events including holiday parties, fiscal year events, prime time meals, managing planning and execution of multiple events simultaneously.

• Serve as primary point of contact with vendors and staff for external and internal events, overseeing preparation, setup, and clean-up after events.

• Manage the office and conference rooms' events calendar.

• Maintain attendee lists and manage budgets designated for conferences/events.

• Collaborate with marketing teams, office personnel, and social committee to ensure successful event planning and execution.

• Coordinate with chefs and wait-staff for menu selection and event themes.

• Adhere to budget restrictions and ensure cost-effective planning of events.

• Handle client gift selection and distribution, managing Busy Season meal process.

• Maintain meeting spaces including conference rooms, training rooms, dining center, and common areas.

• Show creativity in theme creation, decor selection, and vendor selection.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook for efficient event planning and coordination.

• Provide excellent customer service to internal employees and external clients/prospects.

Requirements • Demonstrable experience in a receptionist role or similar position

• Strong customer service skills and ability to interact with a diverse range of people

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook

• Experience with 'About Time' project management software

• Familiarity with budget processes and fiscal planning

• Ability to manage calendars and coordinate meetings effectively

• Experience in working with vendors and partners

• Knowledge and understanding of marketing strategies

• Proven ability to train others and coordinate activities

• Creative mindset and the ability to strategize

• Experience in managing conference rooms and audio-visual equipment

• Proficient in handling phone screens and coordinating events

• Ability to contribute to revenue growth through effective planning and execution of tasks

• Experience in planning meetings and events

• Understanding of layout planning for office spaces.
