The Laser Scan Technician will capture laser scan data on-site at project locations using laser scanners and other associated tools.

Your role:

• Work with BIM Manager to plan and execute scan projects.

• Safely travel to and effectively conduct laser scanning at project sites.

• Focus on details at the project site and determine areas that require additional scan coverage.

• Perform post-processing of scan data and produce working documents from point clouds.

• Assist with maintenance of laser scanning equipment.

• Ability to travel up to 75% of yearly hours.

Your resume must include:

• Certificate in construction related design/drafting or higher and at least two years of directly related experience OR at least four years of directly related experience.

• Experience with using 3D Laser Scanners (experience with ZF or Faro a plus).

• Experience using associated software to register scans.

• Working knowledge of construction methods and plan reading.

Additional requirements:

• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

• Ability to travel internationally.

• Ability to move and lift moderately heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs.) to and from project sites.

• Standing is required for the majority of the time while on site.

• May be required to work in extreme weather conditions.
