This is a full-time, exempt position.

Location: Minneapolis, MN. Can be flexible to regional ADM office Decatur, IL; KC; Des Moines, IA; Lincoln, NE.

Job Description

The qualified individual will manage all UAN procurement, trading, risk management, and strategy. Additionally, they will manage the procurement of urea for the Eastern corn belt while collaborating with the other traders on overall strategy. This person will build relationships with all UAN and eastern corn belt urea suppliers. Furthermore, they will assist in development with business leadership for assets and future growth necessary to achieve goals for ADM. This person will collaborate with procurement, sales, logistics, and customer support and be a total team player.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or agriculture, or equivalent experience, supplemented with a minimum of 2 to five years of trading experience, Ag, or energy sector preferred

  • Demonstrate capacity to manage a position, trade basis, evaluate and manage risk, perform fundamental and technical analysis

  • Build relationships with both suppliers and customers

  • Basic understanding of grain trading and fertilizer markets, production agriculture

  • Commitment to be a positive & professional team leader

  • Ability to function effectively, both independently and in group efforts

  • Resilient, entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and possessing problem-solving skills necessary to adapt to a rapidly changing environment

  • Effective oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to interface with various levels of ADM

  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams with a proven track record of operating autonomously

  • Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office suite

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop the comprehensive UAN strategy for North America

  • Partner with procurement, sales, logistics, and customer support to optimize the UAN product line

  • Build relationships with all UAN suppliers and eastern corn belt urea suppliers

  • Identify and act on trading opportunities to optimize the ADM Fertilizer supply chain

  • Trade the Eastern corn belt urea while working closely with the other urea traders on overall strategy

  • Provide analysis and input into further development and success of ADM
