UMPhysicians Faculty Physician - Pediatric Allergy and Immunology (Assistant Professor) in Minneapolis, Minnesota

The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Minnesota is seeking a board certified/eligible Allergy and Immunology at the Assistant Professor rank on an academic track. Joint appointment in the Department of Medicine: Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine is possible if desired by the candidate. Position Highlights: Responsibilities will include 70% clinical care (divided 60% Pediatric, 40% Adult). Additional responsibilities (30%) will include teaching medical students, residents and fellows; engaging in productive interdisciplinary and inter-institutional clinical and/or research activities; and assisting in developing an Allergy/Immunology fellowship training program. About the Department: The Department of Pediatrics is a thriving academic department with over 100 full-time faculty and ranks in the top 10 nationally in NIH funding. Children are cared for at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital, opened in 2011. The University of Minnesota campus is on the shores of the Mississippi River and the city of Minneapolis, a short distance away from St. Paul. Allergy & Immunology is the specialty focused on the evaluation and care of patients with allergic and immune-mediated diseases, including in-born errors of immunity. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited ACGME Pediatric residency and Allergy and Immunology fellowship-training program. Board eligible/certified with the Allergy and Immunology. Licensed or ability to acquire medical license and DEA in the State of Minnesota, and meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges.
