Position Summary

Support the HR Inclusion & Diversity department in enhancing and promoting a culture of inclusion and diversity through the design and implementation of enterprise-wide policies, programs, training and best practices. Work on a team that is focused on ensuring company goals, values, and initiatives promote an inclusive culture that embraces diversity. Participate in projects in the areas of attracting, hiring, and retaining diverse talent. Main responsibilities include Veteran programs, high school intern program coordination, collaborating with schools and diverse community organizations, working on Business Resource Group newsletters and events, keeping records and communicating with leaders to promote participation in trainings, creating content to educate employees on relevant topics, and supporting administration of new programs. This individual will be asked to advise generational differences and be a thought leader in the inclusion and diversity space. Frequent development opportunities will be available, including networking and learning about the industry. This is a paid position. The schedule is part time (12+ hours per week) during the school year and full time (40 hours per week) during the summer.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Learning and Networking

  • Creating or curating content for web pages, newsletters, communications

  • Project administration: reporting, coordinating, and communication

  • Research and identify trends and solutions

(Starting pay is based on Junior college level and will increase each additional year of college)

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in: human resources, business administration, marketing, or similar.

  • A Junior as of January 2025.

  • Recent graduates and seniors graduation December 2024 are not eligible.

  • Successful candidates will have excellent attention to detail, be organized, and have good communication skills.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite is required.

Preferred Requirements

  • Prior Volunteer or work experience in a professional office setting

  • Passion for inclusion and diversity

  • Project Management professional experience preferred.

Non-Bargaining

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $17.80 per hour

This position is eligible for the following benefits: Pension, 401(k) plan, Paid time off (PTO), Holidays
