Our dynamic and successful Finance Group is seeking a full-time Director/VP of Finance. This position will be based in our Minneapolis, MN office and will report to the Chief Executive Officer. As the Director/VP of Finance, you would be responsible for managing the financial decisions of the company. Responsibilities: Provide staff development and leadership to Finance team members. Ensure the protection of company assets and profitability through effective risk management and financial strategies. Execute the company's financial strategy. Responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the company's budget, ensuring financial efficiency and cost control. Oversee all accounting functions including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Payroll, Billing, and Timesheets. Manage contracts and subcontracts processing, ensuring compliance with regulations. Develop and implement risk management strategies and oversee legal activities. Coordinate and oversee various audits, including financial, FAR, 401k, ESOP, and Benefit Plans. Manage treasury functions including banking relations, investments, borrowing, and fiscal management. Develop plans for growth to increase company profit while also reducing expenditures. Contextualize from the past, present, and future to create meaningful insights and make decisions. Identify investment opportunities and manage mergers and acquisitions. Assist the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to develop financial plans. Ensure compliance with all governmental regulations and maintain effective relationships with government agencies. Manage and negotiate company contracts, ensuring terms meet the strategic needs of the company while optimizing cost and minimizing company risk. Serve as a point of contact with key industry associations such as the American Council of Engineering Companies, actively participating in events and utilizing services to advance organizational objectives. Lead initiatives to maintain contact with former shareholders. Manage and coordinates retiree outreach. Understanding of Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs) - legal, compliance, financial and operational Function as a change leader. Additional duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in Finance or related field. Extensive experience in financial management and leadership roles, with 15 or more years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and strategic planning. Strong communication, collaboration and leadership s ills with the ability to delegate, engage and inspire team members. Prior experience in executive or senior financial management positions is highly desirable. Comprehensive understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial regulations. Strong knowledge of financial modeling and risk management. Strategic mindset with the ability to align financial strategies with overall business objectives. Experience in developing and implementing financial plans and strategies to support organizational growth and profitability. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to analyze financial data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. Ability to anticipate financial risks and opportunities and develop appropriate mitigation strategies. Proven experience in acquisition strategy and execution. Experience with managing and leveraging ESOP's to improve the company's position both internally and externally. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
