Job Summary

As a Desktop Support Specialist, you will provide on-site desktop support of hardware, software, network, and audio/visual devices.

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Desktop Support Specialist to provide white glove deskside support to users in an efficient and accurate manner. This position will be full-time and onsite in Minneapolis, MN .

What You’ll Do

  • Receives and processes user computer problems and errors

  • Oversees the technical support of the applications, hardware and peripheral equipment utilized

  • Installing, configuring, diagnosing, repairing, and upgrading corporate hardware and applications

  • Recognize and resolve application or connectivity trends

  • Ensuring optimal performance

  • Gain knowledge on Business Line applications and to provide application support

  • Gain knowledge of and support telephony devices which include Cisco phones and mobile devices

  • Assist with downed services and help to resolve, manage and escalate

What You’ll Need

Required:

  • 3+ years’ experience in Desktop Support

  • Hands-on experience with devices such as Lenovo workstations, Laptops, docking stations, and peripheral equipment

  • Experience working with external vendors and contacts to resolve issues

  • Support experience with iOS device troubleshooting, desktop printers and IP print troubleshooting, A/V and conference equipment, and software distribution

  • Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM)

  • Microsoft Office application support including Microsoft Teams

  • Active Directory experience

  • Experience using ServiceNow ticketing system

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

  • Strong communication skills (both written and oral)

  • Self-motivated and ability to work with minimal supervision

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a busy environment

  • Experience working with a remote Technology team and the ability to collaborate remotely

  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Excellent work ethic

Preferred:

  • Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science (Preferred) or equivalent experience

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards.

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard and monitor.
