It is anticipated that an incumbent in this role will work onsite for three (3) or more days a week and will have a dedicated workspace when working onsite. Work location is subject to change based on business needs.

Summary of the Job:

Northland Capital Markets, a full-service investment bank that provides financing and M&A advisory to corporate clients and strong, actionable research-driven ideas for our institutional investors, is currently seeking a Corporate Access Professional to join our team.

About This Role:

  • Drive all aspects of the corporate access process for US-based companies visiting institutional investors in the United States and Canada, including non-deal roadshows, fieldtrips, management events, symposiums, and conferences.

  • Originate corporate access events by working closely with company management, institutional equity sales and equity research analysts.

  • Work with sales and research to identify institutional client interest to meet with specific companies.

  • Execute planning and logistics for all stages of corporate access events (virtual and in-person).

  • Deliver high quality client service and excellent execution.

  • Ability to work outside normal business hours, as needed.

  • Develop and manage external relationships with company management (CEO, CFO and Investor Relations).

  • Develop and maintain internal relationships with sales, research, capital markets and banking to drive our non-deal marketing effort.

  • Develop and manage external relationships with Capital Markets and Syndicate teams for deal flow on equity offerings.

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive calendar of Corporate Access events, including non-deal roadshows, live deal roadshows, and virtual presentations.

  • Exhibit partnership and teamwork with other ECM employees in daily interactions as well as larger-scale projects.

  • Prioritize and execute multiple tasks in timely manner amid a fast-paced environment, consistently exhibiting professionalism, precision and follow through.

  • Responsibilities will be shared across logistics and planning, execution, proactive pitching and investor feedback coordination.

  • Assist with data management by keeping accurate records of all client interactions, events, and meeting materials.

  • Additional responsibilities and opportunities to learn and expand your knowledges of Capital Markets and Investment Banking.

The Ideal Candidate for This Role:

  • 2-5+ years in a corporate access, investor relations or related positions in the financial services industry (preferred)

  • Bachelor degree is preferred (preferably in related field)

  • Must be able to work independently and willing to do research to find solutions to hurdles.

  • Basic understanding of Capital Markets and Investment Banking

  • Work from Minneapolis office 3-4 days a week; will consider remote position outside of Minneapolis

  • Proficiency in Zoom for virtual meetings

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite required: Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook

  • Ability to execute events onsite when necessary; travel to conferences to execute conference meetings

  • Strong client service, relationship building, problem solving and communication skills
