(up to 14 hours per week) Objective/Overview Community-University Health Care Center's (CUHCC) mission is to seek health equity in our community by advancing the well-being of diverse people. This position directs the child case management services provided at CUHCC, providing clinical and administrative supervision for child case managers. Reporting Relationships This position reports to the Mental Health Director and directly supervises 5 child case managers. Essential Functions & Percentage for Each Function Clinical Supervision (100%) Ensure that the child case managers conform to policies, procedures and protocol of CUHCC as well as standards and regulation of state and federal agencies. Child case managers carry a majority case load of children as well as a smaller case load of adults. Provide individual and group supervision with direct reports to ensure clinical competence, staff engagement, performance, and satisfaction. Ensure that supervision notes are documented in clients' electronic medical records as required by state statue. Review staff's case activities, guide and assist staff with mental health commitments and completing court reports, sign off on staff notes in a timely manner, determine training and developmental needs, train employees, review staff performances, and initiate corrective action when necessary. Monitor case management metrics on a daily/weekly/monthly basis to ensure that a maximum number of patients receive case management. *CUHCC reserves the right to change or add duties to this position consistent with the job classification. Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree plus six years of experience, or advanced degree plus four years of experience, or a terminal degree plus one year of experience. Current independent licensed mental health clinician in state of Minnesota, which can be any one of the following: Licensed independent clinical social worker Licensed professional clinical counselor Licensed marriage and family therapist Licensed psychologist Licensed registered nurse who is certified as a clinical nurse specialist in child or adolescent, family, or adult psychiatric and mental health nursing by a national certification organization or a nurse practitioner in adult or family psychiatric and mental health nursing by a national nurse certification organization Experience in staff management/supervision: 1 year. Preferred Qualifications Bilingual and/or bicultural in one of CUHCC's dominant languages: Somali, Hmong, Spanish, Vietnamese, or Lao Previous experience as a case manager Knowledge of community resources and/or social service agencies Experience in community mental health or in community clinics About the Department At CUHCC, we're transforming urban health care and educating the next generation of healthcare professionals. Over half of CUHCC's mental health patients also receive medical services at CUHCC, allowing CUHCC providers to work collaboratively to provide patient centered care.
