Ameriprise Financial Business Systems Analyst II in Minneapolis, Minnesota
"The Business Systems Analyst II supporting RiverSource Insurance & Annuity Business will be responsible for the analysis, design, coding/development, unit testing, sit testing and UAT testing support associated with but not limited to client correspondence generated from a variety of system platforms. This role will support document analysis, design, build, production support. Ability to create design documents and familiar with reading mockups. Will support project or enhancement initiatives to identify and implement changes to documents. Partner directly with tech & business teams to identify resource data needs to produce documents. Provides coaching & support to offshore resources and testers.Key ResponsibilitiesSupports projects in identifying routing business requirements, document analysis to identify and implement changes to/new documentsCreate design specificationsHandles and solves a variety of less and more complex problems for the business as it relates to business and technologySupport development work associated with client correspondence generated from a variety of document platforms across both Insurance & AnnuitiesSupport document analysis and impact assessments from projects or enhancementsManage multiple relationships across the organization, and at times with external parties and clientsBe the main point of contact to answer questions within business analyst area of expertiseAct as a liaison among business leaders, staff and utility functions to gather information and share best practices and ensure initiatives are executed appropriatelyAbility to multi-task and work on complex projectsParticipate in user and system requirements to assess impacts to client correspondenceRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent3-5 years relevant experience (including coding experience , Visual Basic Coding experience or similar)Ability to create design specifications and requirementsAbility to multi-task and work on complex projectsAbility to participate in user and system requirements to assess impacts to client correspondence and develop user and system requirementsSolid analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skillsAbility to understand technology as it relates to the businessAbility to establish and maintain strong relationships within the department and across business functionsExperience interacting effectively with business partners and key stakeholders with ability to escalate issues when necessaryWorking knowledge of MS Office, MS Access, SharePoint, MainFramePreferred QualificationsKnowledge of Ameriprise systems and linkagesStrong annuity and/or insurance product and system knowledgeAbout Our CompanyWe're a diversified financial services leader with more than $1 trillion in assets under management and administration as of 2022. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role.
