Job Summary Job Description What is the opportunity? RBC Global Asset Management ("RBC GAM") has committed to the growth and development of its business relationship with RBC Wealth Management in the United States ("RBC WM-US"). As a member of the RBC GAM Investment Products Advisory Group, the Business Development Analyst will support RBC GAM sales and service activities with RBC WM-US. This position provides an opportunity to help build and grow RBC GAM's presence with a key partner. RBC WM-US is among the largest wealth managers in the United States, with over $500 billion in client assets and more than 2,100 financial advisors operating in 186 locations in 42 states. The successful candidate will be part of a small and growing team at RBC GAM executing on one of the firm's strategic priorities. RBC GAM is among the world's largest asset managers and works closely with RBC Wealth Management in other countries. The Business Development Analyst will play a central role shaping a similar value proposition at RBC WM-US. In this role the Business Development Analyst will provide sales, marketing, and business development support to the team covering the RBC WM-US relationship. The Analyst will help drive adoption of RBC GAM solutions, acting as an expert regarding how RBC GAM products are managed and how RBC GAM resources are integrated at RBC WM-US. This individual will also contribute to the execution of RBC GAM's strategy to build relationships and drive awareness of RBC GAM investment capabilities with financial advisors. Support the overall team's strategic business plan and initiatives that contribute to the success of the RBC WM-US + RBC GAM partnership and the FA client experience Deliver immediate, comprehensive, and best-in-class service and support to RBC WM-US financial advisors in partnership with the Business Development Director and/or Business Development Manager. Anticipate and respond to financial advisors' questions related to fund characteristics, fees, eligible platforms, performance, and/or available supporting materials and resources Develop and maintain expertise on RBC GAM solutions and their competitors to support interactions with RBC WM-US; maintain high degree of familiarity with details outlined in newly published marketing materials, strategy conference calls, and investment management industry publications Identify opportunities to advance the sales process with existing relationships and new prospects through analyzing sales data and engaging in discovery and service discussions regarding the investment vehicles used by financial advisors, how they construct portfolios, and how they select investments Contact RBC WM-US financial advisors to learn about their practices and how RBC GAM can provide relevant solutions to address their challenges, which may include providing proposals, investment illustrati ns, and/or strategy information Execute targeted financial advisor campaigns as directed by Business Development team. Participate in the idea generation, construction, and implementation of campaigns Ensure timely and accurate information in CRM system regarding RBC WM-US financial advisors including contact information, call/email entries, meeting notes, progression of each relationship, and general CRM output reports Support e-distribution strategy and communication plan with clients and prospects on an ongoing basis that support business strategy and aligns with financial advisors' initiatives and priorities What do you need to succeed? Must-have A strong understanding of the broker-dealer and/or wealth management landscape and its investor base; client facing/servicing experience a strong asset FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses or ability to obtain within 6 months if not already licensed Exceptional written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills Team player with the ability to work independently and to prioritize and multitask in an unstructured environment in order to meet tight timelines Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including demonstrated expertise with Excel and PowerPoint for data driven projects and presentations Willingness to travel 25% in the US annually Nice-to-have CFA, CFP, CIMA, or other professional designations (desire to obtain or progress toward) Experience with Bloomberg, FactSet, Morningstar Direct, and/or Salesforce CRM system What's in it for you?
