Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Education Coordinator - IT and Informatics - NYU Long Island School of Medicine - Mineola. In this role, the successful candidate delivers education data that meets the reporting and analytical needs of the Grossman Long Island School of Medicines education leadership, faculty, and learners. Monitor and provide support for GLISOMs education, assessment, and evaluation applications for faculty, students, and staff. This role is a critical component in our commitment to delivering a world-class education experience.

Job Responsibilities:

    • Design, build, and maintain dynamic data visualizations, dashboards using Tableau and/or other analytics software for leadership, faculty, and students.
    • Configuring and administering data and dashboard security and access
    • Administer and distribute course and student progress reports
    • Develop GLISOM evaluation instruments using NYUs bespoke applications such as MyFeedback, Redcap, or Qualtrics
    • Collecting and analyzing complex end-user requirements, evaluating their technical feasibility, and identifying strategies for gathering data from relational databases
    • Proactively identify problems and facilitate process improvement activities.
    • Collaborate in designing and creating data models
    • Create and maintain documentation.
    • Provide training to staff on the effective use of, dashboards, data structure, and content.
    • Create and implement MYSQL scripts to pull raw data from GLISOM Databases
    • Develop, execute, and monitor Extraction Transformation and Load (ETL) jobs.

Customer service and application support

    • Provide Tier 2 application support to faculty, students, and staff at NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine, daily monitoring of educational platforms like Brightspace and Panopto, and troubleshooting end-user issues through phone, WebEx/Zoom, or email.
    • Carry out additional duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Education: Master/Bachelor degree in a related field.
Experience: Minimum of one to three years of experience with Tableau, Redcap, Qualtrics, Brightspace LMS, and HTML
Technical Skills:
o Tableau development including visualizations, parameters, report optimization, security, and complex calculations, such as Level of Details Expressions,
o MS Office Suite
o Proficient in SQL
o Experience with various RDBMS (MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server)
o Relational data modeling skills
Communication Skills: Excellent consultative and communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical unit users. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical ability and decisiveness.
Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to understand the business and technical needs of the client, foster customer relationship building, and deliver outstanding customer service.
Work Ethic: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, supporting multiple initiatives simultaneously, and prioritizing work to meet or exceed established service levels. Dependability is a key requirement for this role.

Preferred Qualifications:
Tableau prep, Redcap, Qualtrics, LMS Brightspace experience preferred. Customer support and troubleshooting experience.
Programming skills i.e. python
Experience with performance tuning analysis
Knowledge of Linux (Unix)
Experience with project management software, i.e. ClickUp and DevOps tools, i.e. Gitlab

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $62,400.00 - $82,600.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
