Zoo Worker - Horticulture (Seasonal) Department - Zoological (Seasonal - Summer and Fall) Job Summary: Maintains and preserves horticultural and botanical facilities using sound horticultural practices; maintains and preserves the urban forest using sound arboriculture practices; preserves and educates visitors; preserves and enhances department assets; ensures quality service and product delivery, all which adds value to our guests experience here at the zoo. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Flower bed and tree maintenance - Plant, replant, clean, and maintain annual and perennial flower beds throughout the zoo grounds. Plant, replant, and maintain trees and shrubs throughout zoo grounds. Watering - Water the flowers, grass, plants, and trees throughout zoo grounds on a regular schedule throughout the entire growing season. This includes maintaining and watering 3 greenhouses on grounds.
