Veterinary Technician Milwaukee County Zoo Hourly Pay Range: \$21.29 - \$23.81 Closing Date: 2/25/2025 or upon receipt of the first 50 applications Job Summary: The Veterinary Technician will assist veterinarians with clinical duties, perform laboratory sample analysis, evaluate inventory, purchase lab, medical and pharmaceutical products, schedule and coordinate veterinary procedures with other animal subdivisions, manage carcass disposition, implement safety procedures, perform routine quality control monitoring of hospital equipment, and implement the radiation exposure control program. This role will also maintain a positive culture of collaboration, accountability, and respectful behavior. Essential Responsibilities: Clinical Duties - Assist with animal procedures. Perform anesthesia and assigned veterinary procedures with limited veterinary supervision. Clean and sterilize medical equipment and assist in handling controlled and hazardous substances.
