Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Software Engineer II based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The role involves working within the diagnostic cardiology sector, focusing on improving diagnostic yield workflow efficiency and patient outcomes through the development and maintenance of software products. As a Software Engineer II, you will be part of a team that utilizes advanced sensing capabilities for key heart conditions and streamlines workflows through vendor neutral shared platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and design modules or projects for new product development and maintenance activities.

• Technically lead maintenance activities and field issue resolution with hands-on problem-solving approaches.

• Conduct reviews and approve the design and code of modules, projects, and defect fixes.

• Demonstrate customer focus by ensuring the quality of software releases and timely resolution of field-reported issues.

• Analyze and understand the requirements of the project.

• Identify key module or product-level technical risks and assist in developing mitigation and recovery plans.

• Review work products to ensure the quality of deliverables.

• Provide input to test strategies at a product level.

• Provide guidance to development and test teams concerning overall design and development.

• Lead and coach team members in their tasks and responsibilities.

• Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring, and testing techniques.

• Drive continuous improvement activities by identifying and appropriately escalating process and product quality gaps. Requirements • Proficiency in SQL, Agile methodologies, and programming languages is essential

• Must possess strong communication, documentation, and planning skills

• Experience with database design and implementation is required

• Demonstrated ability to review and maintain quality of code and deliverables

• Familiarity with clinical trial operations and healthcare.gov platform is beneficial

• Strong leadership skills and ability to streamline processes for efficiency

• Knowledge of software engineering principles and practices is a must

• Degree in Computer Sciences or a related field is preferred

• Experience with Windows OS and module development is necessary

• Proficiency in defect management and understanding of regulatory requirements in the software industry
