Position Summary Under the supervision of the Director, Specialty Pharmacy and Drug Distribution, the Pharmacy Technician manages biopharmaceutical products inventory from product receipt through order preparation and distribution for the Pharmacy service line. Responsibilities Receives inbound pharmaceutical products inventory and enters information into LifeTrak system. Coordinates movement of inventory between Versiti locations and customer consignment warehouses. Selects, packages, labels and prepares prescription drug orders for homecare patients under the regulatory authority of Versiti\'s pharmacist. Packages supplies for specific patient orders according to instructions from the Patient Services Coordinator and CCBD (Comprehensive Center for Bleeding Disorders) nursing staff. Breaks bulk packages of infusion supplies (NaCl, needles, etc.) into individual components and packages in \"per infusion\" increments. Receives incoming orders from hospital wholesale accounts. Consults with hospital customers, where appropriate, on selection of proper assays to meet specific patient requirements. Selects, packages and prepares medications for delivery to hospital customers. Enters consignment usage reports into Pharmacy System and coordinated replenishment of consignment inventories. Maintains inventory in Tracelink system, generates T-3 (Transaction Information, Transaction History, Transaction Statement) documents for hospital customers.
