Job Requirements: The Senior Virtual Design Construction (VDC) Engineer will provide routine Building Information Modeling (BIM) administration and coordination for assigned projects, supporting the Ryan Companies project team. Responsibilities include providing models and documents, BIM technical support, and assembling 3D content. This role requires a Bachelor\'s degree in Construction Engineering/Management, Architecture, or Engineering, or a 2-year degree with relevant experience. The candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in construction or design, including 2 years in a VDC or BIM-related role. Essential skills include knowledge of BIM technologies and tools, the ability to build and maintain relationships, and the capability to quickly learn additional BIM and Adobe Creative Cloud applications. The Senior VDC Engineer also assists with proposal preparation, estimating, scheduling, logistics, procurement, and conflict resolution. Some things you can expect to do: Provide models and documents necessary to complete scope as determined with VDC/BIM leadership and project teams. Assemble 3D content modeled by others and models any content not provided. Learn and independently maintain a productive and efficient BIM process. Create and maintain clear and effective project documentation, such as meeting agendas, meeting minutes, and constraint logs. Facilitate meetings for coordination of construction and design disciplines, inclusive of subcontractors and vendors, in relation to the construction model Provide BIM technical support to internal project teams. Provide training to project teams on utilization of BIM tools. Support operations with the RFI or change order process for BIM related items. Maintain working relationships with subcontractors and project teams. Assume responsibility for learning the VDC processes and standards; apply them to assigned projects.
