Job Overview Responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising Design Engineering assignments including major projects for vehicle chassis, and/or components, and/or systems. Development to meet design compliance to Engineering Standards, product quality and product cost. Interface with other Komatsu Engineering groups and suppliers as required for exchange of technical information. Provide technical support to Manufacturing for vehicle build issues, Marketing plus Sales for vehicle sales issues, and Service plus Parts for customer issues. Visit customer sites for resolution of product issues, promotion of sales, maintaining knowledge of mine environment, and understanding customer expectations. Provide leadership to subordinate Engineers for developing engineering drawings and technical information. Scope Develop Electrical, Electronic and Embedded Software designs, plus technical information for current production dump trucks (6 plus models), and/or loaders (3 plus models), and/or new vehicle models with sales of \$300m to \$500m per year. Interface with other Komatsu Engineering Groups as required for technical information exchange. Interface and visit suppliers (3 plus) as required for technical information exchange. Provide technical support to 5 other company operation\'s groups including Manufacturing, Marketing, Sales, Parts, and Service. Visit distributor and customer sites (1 plus) as required. Provide leadership for up to 3 subordinate Engineers. Key Job Responsibilities Develop software requirements, create embedded software, write test requirements and required documentation, support software releasing and implementation. Communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Write clear and concise memo\'s including drafts of technical documentation such as Parts and Service News, Operator and Shop Manuals, etc. Make presentations during Design...
