RDK FOUNDATION Program Director-Artistic Initiatives in MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: RDK Foundation seeks a Program Director-Artistic Initiatives to develop grant programs. Managing a small team to analyze, understand, and advocate for initiatives and programs that provide innovative models of support in the field that complement current models of arts philanthropy. Build, maintain, and strengthen the Foundation\'s relationships with a diverse group of arts organizations across the country, with a focus on spaces that have been historically excluded from art world dialogues. Strategize and advise on three main areas of focus: program development, grant distribution, and relationship building. Work collaboratively with the Executive Director to advise and deliver on Foundation grant-making efforts and initiatives, including evaluating proposals and making recommendations for programs and overseeing the record keeping related to grant proposals, applications, and results. Represent the RDK Foundation to current and potential grantees by meeting regularly meet with Curators, Executive Directors, Program Directors and others who seek or receive support from the RDK Foundation. Contribute or recommend content for social posts, articles, or public talks. Lead and join in think-tanks and other conversational workshops. May work from home 1-2 days per week. May travel to various and unanticipated worksites throughout the United States. Requirements: Employer will accept Master\'s degree in the Arts or a related field plus 8 years of senior curator experience in: 1) Developing grant programs, 2) Analyzing, understanding, and advocating for initiatives and programs for arts philanthropy, 3) Building, maintaining, and strengthening relationships with diverse arts organizations across the country, with a focus on spaces that have been historically excluded from art world dialogues. 4) Strategizing and advising on program development, grant distribution, and relationship building. 5) Working collaboratively with leadership to advise and deliver on Foundation grant-making efforts and initiatives, including evaluating proposals and making recommendations for programs and overseeing the record keeping related to grant proposals, applications, and results. 6) Representing an arts organization with current and potential grantees by meeting regularly with Curators, Executive Directors, Program Directors, 7) Contributing or recommending content for social posts, articles, or public talks, and 8) Leading and joining think-tanks and other conversational workshops.
