How you will help us create value together:
As a Process Optimization Intern, you will be responsible for a range of support activities for the Program Management Office (PMO) which aims to establish program governance principles across the organization. This role will be contributing to the creation and application of new governance frameworks and processes for innovation and new product development. You will be partnering with program managers and business units from across the organization to establish universal guidelines, definition, and templates to be applied to a wide portfolio of new projects and technology.
This position will be based onsite at our South Harbor location in Milwaukee’s Harbor District! The target start date for this role is Summer 2025 and has potential to be extended into the Fall 2025 school semester. We offer full-time hours during the summer and flexible part-time hours during the academic year.
Key Job Responsibilities
Collaborating with project managers and functional groups to capture the critical elements of innovation and new product development deliverables
Evaluating existing processes, templates, and documentation
Generating standardized templates and documentation
Trialing templates for new projects and reviewing processes against active projects
Gathering and applying feedback on the governance frameworks and its pieces
Assisting in cross functional meetings, reviews, and evaluations
Completing internal and external presentations on work results
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
Actively enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a bachelor’s or advanced degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or similar
Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or master’s level student in good academic standing
Possess effective problem solving and critical thinking skills; ability to be creative and resourceful when needed
Demonstrates strong active listening skills, with the ability to understand and capture the information that was shared
Effective communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment
Excellent organization and personal time management skills, ability to handle multiple tasks
Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite products (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications:
Coursework or prior experience with product development processes, research processes, or project management
Enthusiasm for establishing processes and documentation that provide significant value add and efficiency
