Department OverviewThe Infrastructure Engineering team is responsible for the development and operations of critical infrastructure and platform services, in support of Motorola Solutions\' public and hybrid cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions for public safety customers. This team is part of Motorola Solutions\' Video & Software division, which offers secure, reliable and efficient team communications, workflow and operational intelligence solutions for mission critical public safety and enterprise markets throughout the world.Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solution Architect to join our Platform Engineering organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, implementing, and optimizing container orchestration solutions using Red Hat OpenShift. You will play a critical role in driving the adoption of OpenShift across our enterprise, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security of our application infrastructure. Responsibilities: Lead the design and architecture of the OpenShift platform to meet the business requirements and technical standards of the company. Collaborate with development teams to facilitate the adoption of container-based development and deployment practices. Implement automated solutions for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of applications running on OpenShift. Develop and maintain OpenShift templates, operators, and custom resources to streamline the deployment of services. Define and implement security policies and procedures for the OpenShift environment. Provide guidance and mentorship to team members on OpenShift best practices and emerging technologies.
