FTE: 1.000000 Shift: 4 Schedule: rotating first and second shift with 2 weekend shifts per month requirement. Job Summary: Coordinates the daily operations of the Pharmacy Technicians in the Central Inpatient Pharmacy. Acts as a daily resource for Pharmacy Technicians and provides guidance regarding technical and operational information. Works with the Central Pharmacist to design and implement education for the technician staff. Functions within the guidelines of Chapter 7 of the Wisconsin Statutes and Administrative Code - Pharmacy Examining Board - Pharmacy Practice Sections. Performs all duties of the Pharmacy Technician as assigned. Other duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: A minimum of 3 years of experience as a hospital Pharmacy Technician required is preferred.EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: High School diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor\'s Degree is preferred.SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION: Exceptional customer service and communication skills. Detail oriented.LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: Application for Wisconsin registration as a Pharmacy Technician is required by hire date and must be obtained within 12 months of hire. Staff hired into this role prior to 3/31/23 must have applied for Wisconsin registration by 3/31/23 and have until 3/31/24 to obtain registration. Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through passing the Pharmacy Technician Certification Boards exam (PTCE) or the National Health career Associations exam (ExCPT) is required within 6 months of hire.
