Job Responsibilities

Responsible for contributing to the design and development of new enclosed drive (panel) products and existing panel product maintenance. Duties: research, design, evaluate mechanical and electromechanical products, equipment, systems and processes; prepare designs, specifications, and recommendations for development of new and maintenance of existing enclosed drive products and panels; confer with engineers or other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, or provide technical information; recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions and to reduce cost; conduct research that tests or analyzes the feasibility, design, operation, or performance of equipment, components, or systems; participate in the construction and testing of prototype products.

Background & Skills

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.

  • 2 years of experience in product design and development in a global organization, including work with internal and external customers regarding product design specifications.

  • 2 years of experience in product maintenance and cost reductions.

  • 2 years of experience in Creo (ProE) and other 3D CAD system.

  • 2 years of experience utilizing product and/or safety standards (e.g., UL508A or UL61800-5-1).

Work Conditions

Full time, 40 hours per week
