JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Description: Join Our Team as a Maintenance Mechanic at the Medical College of Wisconsin! Are you an experienced Facilities Maintenance Mechanic looking for a stable and rewarding career? Do you have the skills to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a variety of mechanical systems? Our Facilities team plays a crucial role in maintaining the infrastructure that supports our mission. Position: Maintenance Mechanic Location: Milwaukee, WI Key Responsibilities: Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of equipment and systems. Troubleshoot and repair minor system malfunctions independently. Train junior mechanics in inspection procedures. Perform repairs and replacements on various systems, including fan and pump motors, plumbing fixtures, pneumatic controllers, and refrigeration devices. Execute small projects such as installing air and vacuum system piping and repairing plumbing systems. Diagnose and correct equipment malfunctions. Complete preventive maintenance (PM) on equipment. Safely shutdown heating and cooling systems for maintenance or repair. Utilize skills such as brazing, soldering, pipe cutting and threading, and various hand and power tools. Repair and overhaul pumps and heat exchangers. Preferred Schedule: 2nd Shift Position Requirements: Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a facilities maintenance mechanic role, preferably in healthcare or educational institutions. Proficiency in troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset. Why MCW?
