Job Title: Machine Operator Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Machine Operator Assistant to join our team on the GOAT CHEESE LINES. As a Machine Operator Assistant, you will be responsible for loading cheese rolls onto the table, rolling fruit on the cheese, and sending it through the machine for packaging. Additionally, you will ensure the cheese is properly placed in the film packaging, load it into boxes, and lift the filled boxes onto pallets.

Responsibilities

  • Load cheese rolls onto the table.

  • Roll fruit on the cheese and send it through the machine for packaging.

  • Ensure cheese is properly placed in the film packaging.

  • Load packaged cheese into boxes.

  • Lift filled boxes onto pallets.

Essential Skills

  • Production experience

  • General labor skills

  • Packaging experience

  • Machine operation

  • General production experience

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Consistent work history within a labor-intensive job that requires repetitive work.

  • 1 year of consistent work history in packaging or as a warehouse associate involving moving packages or loading & unloading boxes.

  • GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) experience is a plus but not required.

  • Candidates with jumpy work history or attendance issues in previous jobs will not be considered.

Our company is expanding in the South MKE area, offering a high-paying job for the work required. We also provide a shift premium of $2 for any hours worked from 6pm to 6am, making this a financially rewarding opportunity.

Work Environment

The work environment is at the Saputo Cheese Franklin Location. Working hours are from 10:45pm to 7am (Sunday night to Friday morning), with overtime on Friday nights scheduled with a week's notice, usually every other week. The temperature is maintained at 55 degrees, so it is not overly cold. The dress code requires closed-toe shoes, t-shirts, sweatshirts, and pants. All PPE and uniforms, including hair nets, beard nets, shoe covers, smocks, bump caps, and gloves, are provided. Jewelry, fake/long nails, and fake eyelashes are not allowed.
