ASQ-MILWAUKEE IT Operations Manager in MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin

ASQ was founded in 1946 and is headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The Position The IT Operations Manager is the primary leader for overall operations of infrastructure. This includes managing servers and networks, defining the standard processes for managing systems, and responding to requests from ASQ staff and members. Additionally, this role is responsible for overall cyber and system security. The IT Operations Manager also leads all aspects of office automation tools, including email and document management. Main Responsibilities: Hires, trains, manages, and develops 3-5 direct reports and multiple contract resources. Responsible for selection and maintenance of all servers, network infrastructure, telecommunications, and local hardware. Responsible for evaluating, selecting, and directing third party vendors that provide technology and other services in responsible areas. Leads definition and standardization of service desk management and support processes for the entire IT team. Trains all IT team members in standard practices. Defines measures of operations effectiveness for the IT team. Serves as cyber security, compliance, and risk leader developing and maintaining standards, processes, and procedures for ensuring the highest possible level of security and compliance. Stays current with threats and state of the art in IT security to minimize risk. Provides technical and infrastructure expertise consultation with platform teams including hardware requirements and security during all phases of the software lifecycle. Responsible for personal computers, office automation, and document management systems, ensuring staff and members have the tools needed to work efficiently. Works with all IT teams to ensure all systems have appropriate disaster recovery capabilities and plans in place. Bring Your Best: Position Minimum Qualifications A bachelor\'s degree in computer science, information technology, or a similar field; Minimum of 7 years of experience in information technology; Minimum of 5 years of experience with enterprise-level infrastructure and security technologies; Minimum of 1 year of people management experience; Or equivalent combination.
