Global Mobility Consultant

What does a successful Immigration Consultant do at Fiserv?

You will be primarily responsible for the management of US non-immigrant and immigrant visa processing. Your in depth knowledge of the US immigration environment will allow you to consult with Fiserv associates, HR Business Partners and managers on topics such as visa strategy, immigration options and timelines, and travel requirements.

What you will do:

  • Create partnerships within the organization to train, teach, consult, and advise on mobility to include available immigration options, processes, guidelines, and education on new or changing policies

  • Counsel and consult the business unit on the fundamentals of international assignment management, including: Tax, Compensation (in partnership with Global Compensation team), Relocation, Interaction of immigration, social insurance and taxation

  • Build collaborative relationships with stakeholders to influence and drive change in global mobility areas

  • Provide feedback and best practice solutions related to current policies and processes

  • Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews with key stakeholders to advise on spend, case volume, upcoming expirations, trends, etc

  • Communicate immigration requirements, government procedures, and case processing times to HR business partners, associates and managers

  • In partnership with outside immigration counsel, responsible for managing US non-immigrant visa filings including but not limited to H-1B, L-1B/A, and TN visas, as well as the oversight and management of all US permanent residency cases including but not limited to PERM, I-140 filing, I-485/AOS

  • Facilitate the timely response to all immigration audits, Requests for Evidence, etc. acting as the intermediary between the business and external counsel

  • Act as primary point of contact for managers for any USCIS site visits

  • Assist with prioritizing and managing immigration timelines, including renewals and expiration dates utilizing the Global Mobility Case Management system, Topia

  • Work with Global Mobility vendors (tax, relocations, etc.) to initiate assignment benefits.

  • Work with internal partners including Corporate Tax, Payroll, and Human Resources to coordinate international assignment logistics as needed.

What you will need to have:

  • 4-year college degree relating to Employment Law, Immigration, Human Resources

  • 4+ years of high-volume U.S. employment-based immigration experience with extensive experience working with within the consulting industry clients

  • In-depth knowledge of H-1B and L-1 visas as well as the permanent residency processes

  • Knowledge of general global mobility and international assignment concepts

  • Experience working for a multinational company with a global associate population

  • Experience managing a high volume, global caseload

What would be great to have:

  • In house immigration experience, petition drafting knowledge

  • CRP or GMS certification

  • PHR, SPHR, GPHR certification

This role is not eligible to be performed in Colorado, California, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Maryland, New York or Washington.
