DEVELOPMENT CHEMIST - POWDER 1st Shift The Development Chemist - Powder is responsible for a variety of powder processes including formulating and testing coatings. DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Responsible for formulation and design of powder coatings to be marketed in the future Supports current formulation adjustments Reviews and tests raw materials Responsible for quality parameters, documenting and updating records Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Education level strongly preferred: College degree in Chemistry or related field One to three years\' experience preferred in a manufacturing or industrial setting, preferably in coatings or chemical environment Excellent mathematical skills Ability to handle multiple projects at one time Ability to receive and provide instructions in a positive manner Exemplify core values, i.e., Integrity, Loyalty, Passion, Commitment, and Respect. Works well in a team environment Excellent team building and communications skills Superb written and verbal communication skills. Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Outlook), ERP system and other office machinery. WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk or hear, stand and/or walk, use hands to finger, handle or touch objects or controls and move from place to place. The employee is regularly required to sit, balance, stoop, and occasionally reach above shoulders. The employee may regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
