The Headlines :

In the role of Payroll Coordinator working in Milwaukee, WI you will be part of the Global Business Services (GBS) team where you will execute payroll services and processes for the organization. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of payrolls, researching, and troubleshooting system payroll issues, and contribute to various projects as a subject matter expert, among other duties.

This position reports to the Payroll Team Lead.

The Responsibilities :

  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of multi-state payroll for United States

  • Analyze, research and set up, when appropriate, all Garnishments, Leins and Tax Levies

  • Ensure compliance to statutory or regulatory laws

  • Research and troubleshoot Dayforce system payroll issues

  • Audit/Analyze/Determine/React in majority of the steps in the payroll process

  • Possess working knowledge of company policies (as they relate to payroll and time & attendance) and ensure they are followed

  • Balance and reconcile payrolls involving Dayforce and SAP systems

  • Support employees, managers and Human Resources team members on wage and hour laws, compliance, and internal & external policy changes

  • Troubleshoot issues raised internally or by service providers

  • Provide objective, timely, and accurate payroll information to management and other departments as required

  • Contribute to various projects (such as statutory and regulatory audits) as a subject matter expert, tester, and in some cases co-manager of projects.

  • Review, evaluate, and prioritize tasks/project assignments and communicate key issues to management

  • Other duties as assigned

The Qualifications:

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field (or 3 additional years of payroll experience in lieu of a degree) and at least 3 years of payroll processing experience

  • FPC, PCP or CPP designation preferred

  • Experience with US payroll preferably multi-state and multi-entity processing

  • You have strong Excel skills and experience with payroll software (Dayforce preferred)

  • You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and you provide a high level of customer service

  • You can work with minimal supervision in a team setting

  • You can work with and maintain confidential documents and information

  • You have excellent organizational skills to complete a large volume of work timely and accurately and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

  • You love a challenge. You complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of the business priorities
